Max Neiger Driving License Photograph

Max was the creative genius behind the prolific and innovative lines of costume jewelry produced by the Neiger Brothers from 1903 until 1938.

Known and followed in Gablonz as trend-setters and masters of their craft, both brothers were trained at the Gablonz Technical College. 

The technical college grounded them in mostly classical design and specific technical skills and knowledge of metals.  Both brothers were ‘Master Gurtlers’ under the Guild System in place at that time.

Max, his wife and their 12 year old daughter all perished in the Nazi created Ghetto of Lodz, Poland.

This was the Neiger workshop at Perlengasse in Gablonz – Max was the Workshop Director At The Height of Their Popularity they employed 33 Gurtlers
